This is a museum quality reproduction of an Iguanodon mantelli thumb spike. The original fossil came from the Cretaceous Period of North Dakota, USA and was a sharp defensive weapon attached to the thumb of the dinosaur. Certain fossils are just too costly and some are one-of-a-kind specimens that can only be viewed at museums. The replica thumb spike measures 134mm x 66mm.
See our other fossil replicas as they represent some of the most rare and most fascinating fossil discoveries of all time and this is the only way that most collectors and even museums can obtain examples of such rarity.
